Australia's bold and very pricy presence at the Shanghai expo in China is paying off, according to trade officials.
There are 70 million people expected at the expo for its duration, with the queues to some national pavilions up to nine hours long.
Over 3 million people have passed through the Australian pavilion, at about 50,000 visitors a day.
It is Australia's most expensive national pavilion ever - at a cost of $83 million.
The Commissioner General of Australia Lundall Sachs says the expo has been a success.
The visitors to the Australian pavilion are mostly Chinese nationals, who have also voted it the friendliest pavilion.
Australia is hoping to attract at least 10% of the visitors to the expo.
