Australian shares closed weaker after the central bank kept interest rates on hold.
At the close, Australia's benchmark SP/ASX200 index was 21.8 points weaker at 4,274.2, while the broader All Ordinaries index was down 19.7 points or 0.45 per cent at 4,344.9.
On the ASX 24, the March share price index futures contract was down eight points at 4,247 points, with 30,662 contracts traded.
