The Australian share market has opened weaker after Telstra reported a lower-than-expected first-half profit.

At 1012 AEDT on Thursday, the benchmark SP/ASX200 index was down 20.7 points, or 0.48 per cent, at 4,270, while the broader All Ordinaries index was down 18.4 points, or 0.42 per cent, at 4,345.3.
